"Youth Leading Change"

Leumi has supported the "Youth Leading Change-Aharai" Association since 2002. The “Youth Leading Change” Association is a registered nonprofit organization, initially established in 1997 with a goal of nurturing young leaders, in order to encourage social involvement amongst youth. Youth participants hail from developing towns, absorption centers and boarding schools, and are at a pivotal crossroad in life, at which point their futures can be directly affected by education. Students and youths are eligible for participating in the “Aharai” program from the age of 14 until 25, when they begin integrating into the State of Israel as fully contributing members of society.

The five day-care centers at Kfar Hayarok, Israel, operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, model a family structure that meets the needs of young children, otherwise lacking a normative framework for their emotional and cognitive development. Leumi Partners chose to participate in this project in order to promote their corporate social goals of helping every child realize their potential and become a productive member of society. Each month, Leumi Partners employees spend quality time with the children. Collaborative activities include joint preparation of dinner, group-games, individual and group discussions, workshops and many other endeavors. With every visit the Leumi Partners' representatives build upon relationships based on mutual respect, trust and personal growth. A warm and enduring rapport serves to make the experience enriching and enjoyable for both Leumi Partners employees and the "Tzivony" children. Leumi Partners contributions to the"Tzivony" centers are channeled towards a number of purposes that help create a nurturing, supportive and educational atmosphere.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Israel-
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Israel was founded in 1981 by
parents and children with diabetes, as a branch of the International
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), with its center in the United
States.

JDRF Israel set out in proclamation of a central message: the commitment to
finding a cure for diabetes and its complications through supporting
research.  The thousands of members, including many parents and volunteers,
are dedicated to realizing the promise they made to their children that
within their lifetime a cure will be discovered.

JDRF supports the funding of international research for finding a cure for
diabetes, more than any other health organization in the world, and is also
involved in the welfare of diabetics and their families, and in raising
public awareness to the disease and its repercussions.

JDRF is able to realize its goals through the many contributions: at special
events, from charitable organizations, foundations, contributions from
businesses, individual contributions, and the volunteer work of parents and
children with diabetes.

The goals of JDRF Israel

Funding the best medical treatment and research for finding a cure for the
disease and its complications, and improving the quality of life of children
and their families

Vehadarta was created with a deep belief that senior citizens in our society are a valuable asset and should be treated as such. We believe that only when our society learns to make use of elders' vast knowledge and experience we can become a healthier and more just society.
We believe that every senior citizen is entitled to continue to contribute and lead an active life while maintaining a decent standard of living.
We will work to promote a body of legislature that will safeguard those rights of senior citizens to receive what is theirs by right and not as a gift.
Collectively, the above should aid in uniting senior citizens in Israel and enable them to contribute to society's collective experience.
